The house of your dreams
“… Manoir du Lac, the house I have discovered in a surreal landscape on Lake Mogosoaia silt, is the house of my forgotten fairytales… Old wood and basil scents wrap up your senses… It’s almost a ‘didactical’ certificate of vernacular architecture…”

7 months to draw, 7 years to build
Immaculate, with soft lines and undulating surfaces like the waters of the Danube Delta, the source of the roof’s thick blanket of reed… these are the few words to attempt to describe the first impression that this beautiful house gives. One may think that its appearance is the consequence of a child’s playful chalk sketch but looking closer it may realize that it is the result of a well thought concept, tremendous hard work and skilful hands…. it has a style of its own, a harmonious blend between the purity of traditional vernacular architecture and the refinement of an aristocratic simplicity… its cosines, tranquility and decency are overwhelming.
